I just finished several bag designs for a grocery store client of ours.

KNOWING WHEN TO HOLD BACK
I had a discussion the other day about the west elm logo designed by Abby Clawson Low, one of my favorite designers.
The cool thing about the logo is that it shows such incredible restraint and control.
Here it is.
She has done a bunch of work for Kate Spade.
This holiday book is another example of her control.
Then when I was browsing ffffound, I saw this. It is not done by Abby, but it is a great example of what we’re talking about here.
DESIGN FOR MANKIND

These guys have a collaborative design site called coolmix. I found this booklet in there and was amazed by it. Another great, simple, European design.
