EAMES STAMPS
I became a stamp collector today – but for good reason.
The wonderful USPS released these Charles and Ray Eames stamps.
Talk about being against visual pollution, Charles Eames once said, ”To excel in the structuring of a problem we must be committed to a concern for quality in everything in the world around us. We must learn to care deeply.”
He said something else that I love and it applies directly to the idea here that you should follow your passions and loves and then everything else will fall into place. He said, “I don’t believe in this ‘gifted few’ concept, just in people doing things they are really interested in doing. They have a way of getting good at whatever it is.”
MANYSTUFF
Manstuff.org has an exhibition this summer in Toulouse, France. This is the poster they designed for it.
STAYING OFF THE COMPUTER
I saw this on ffffound yesterday and it reminded me of one of my personal “Rules for Art Direction and Design,” which is “Stay off the computer.”
I thought this is a funny way to give you familiarity outside of the screen.
PIXEL TAG
Somebody found this in NYC in the east village and its probably the coolest thing I have seen this week. It reminds me of this artist that does the truthtag site.
DESIGN FOR MANKIND
The design blog, Design for Mankind, made this great print that you can buy on Etsy. I think I’ll put mine in the office:)
DANIELLA SPINAT
I love this work from Daniella Spinat. Thanks Stackingchairs for the link!
THE BEARDED TYPEFACE

This is a beard alphabet made by illustrator, Tim Yarzhombeck. It made me feel good about the world, so I thought it was worth sharing.
