Just when I thought it had all been done

These guys went and did this. Genius.

A well designed umbrella

London Undercover makes these incredible umbrellas that blend fashion and brilliant product design. If I had one I’d want it to rain every day.

Something I ffffound

Pantone color of the year

Recently Pantone revealed the 2010 color of the year. I couldn’t wait to find out what it was.
Naturally, I was not disappointed when I found out it was 15-5519 Turquoise.

If I was to buy an ax…

I’d buy this ax. In fact, when I saw these I racked by brain for any kind of justification of such a purchase. Makes me wish I lived in the country or had a real fireplace. Best Made Company. Delightful.

Netherland

If you’re in Chicago this weekend, be sure to stop by Rotofugi to check out work by Chad Kouri (one of my faves) and Netherland.

Since I’ve already done a post about Chad, here are a few samples of Netherlands work.

Katie Daisy

This month’s issue of HOW had an article on illustrator, Katie Daisy. I love her obsession with hand drawn tuscan letterforms and liberal use of birds, flowers, and illustrations about the midwest. Which, if you’ve never been, is a great place. I’ve lived on the coasts, and they are great, but people tend to forget that there is a lot more out there to discover.

Rainscript Font

2010 is going to be about really great typefaces.

I found this font this morning, Rainscript.

It feels old world and Englishy.

Eco Tote Bag

I just finished several bag designs for a grocery store client of ours.
Here are two of them.
